A couple of weeks ago, I purchased Season One of “24″ for one simple reason…I’d heard it was satisfactory, but mainly I impartial wanted some sort of TV drama (my common kind of drama!) to pass the time until LOST returns. Suffice it to say, though, that I will be MAKING time for 24 in the coming weeks and months!

Essentially, the place of “24″ involves the United States Counter Terrorism Unit (headed by Jack Bauer) trying to prevent an assassination attempt on presidential hopeful Senator David Palmer. Many more layers spot added on with each hour, but there are so many twists and turns that it would be impossible to clarify them all.

The position is though-provoking, but the main aspect of the note that kept my attention for, well, almost 24 hours, is the intensity of every single episode. While some shows (The X-Files immediately comes to mind) are able to “slow off” and film unique episodes every once in awhile only to pick up wait on in gear for sweeps months, 24′s format requires that the action never let up. Each episode is honest as primary and provocative as the ones previous.

Plus, to add to the complexity of the indicate, three different threads are going on during the prove at once. Palmer’s family struggles with what to do about a family tragedy, Jack Bauer puts the intelligence pieces together, while the terrorists kidnap Jack’s family and utilize them as leverage. There is never a tiring, moment!

Finally, the acting is very compelling as well. Kiefer Sutherland (mighty like Matthew Fox’s Jack Shepherd on LOST) is fantastically intense, while Dennis Haysbert (Palmer) almost steals the point to with the portrayal of his moral/ethical dilemmas.

So, if you (like I was) are looking for a demonstrate to complement LOST (or any other TV program), 24 is a mountainous series to glean crooked on. Be warned, though, that it is very addicting and you will likely want to execute it sooner than later!

I cherish these slim packs of 24 but I mean why in the world do they cost more than the unusual pack of 24?? You can steal the normal situation for about 20-30$, and I do not understand why the release version of the same thing is twice the ticket of the unusual release?
